Tourism Master plan in Petra

JICA is implementing a master Plan study for tourism sector in Petra Region, based on the initial survey’s findings which conducted as a part of the plan three topics were highlighted; Cultural and Natural Heritage Conservation, Environmental Management/ 3R Training: Reducing waste, Reusing, and Recycling resources and products, and Tourism Crisis Management/ 4R Training: Reduction of consumption, Readiness, Response, and Recovery. JICA team finds that PDTRA, locals, and community CBOs are not well-aware of those three topics, so this training programmes are planned to fill this gap and to better equip them with the needed skills and knowledge about these important topics.
